Successful development, design and implementation of medium to major airfreight handling terminals, including the industry’s most automated airport freight handling facility. Terminal volumes ranged from 0.25 to 2 million tonnes per annum and terminal costs from $300 million to $1 billion.

Provided short, medium and long term strategic business development plans for the airfreight business for a number of international airports resulting in improved revenue and volume growth of 20-50%.

Programme Director

for a strategic development programme of a global integrator which led to the successful relocation of their European operational hub. The programme delivered the required strategic objectives of the company, the design and construction of a € 300 million handling terminal and a long term cost benefit investment worth millions of Euros.

Programme Director for a global simplification of the airfreight supply chain which involved designing process, convincing industry stakeholders and obtaining total commitment from global customs administrations, airlines and air freight forwarders to a global change. The programme is currently going through a global role out and will deliver Industry cost savings of up to US$4.9 billion annually.

Consultancy assignments for airlines including Finnair, Qatar, British Airways & Cathay Pacific; airport privatisations including Budapest, Sydney, Chicago Midway, Amman and Mumbai; facilities design and optimisation including dnata, WFS, DHL, British Airways World Cargo, Koltsovo and Senai airports, and project assignments with IATA, Booz, Hochtief AirPort, Accenture, MMC and Macquarie Airports.
